Because I’m getting so busy and Thanksgiving is almost here, I think I’ll be taking a short break from daily food diaries. Also, I’ve been having some weird physical pains so lifting has been hard lately. (I’ll still be going, but it’ll probably end up being more like 2x/week rather than 3x.)
I’ll still be checking in, though… and I’ll get back to posting food diaries soon!
Thanks so much for all your support 🙂

The crazy munchies continue, so I guess back to maintenance calories until they stop. I had a migraine from about 11am to 6pm, so that was fun. I tried to make myself feel better by finally getting a mocha at the cafe I’ve been going to constantly for months–can’t believe I’d never gotten one there, as it’s the best I’ve had! But… it didn’t really help aside from being fabulous.
I still made myself go to gym which ended up replacing my headache with a stomach ache, but it was a trade that I was okay with! Stomach ache was likely in part due to shoveling crap in my face for dinner before lifting since I was feeling so bad 😛 (Hoping to just eat it to get it out of the house and never buy it again, since it’s still residual nonvegan stuff I bought awhile ago.)
I’m falling behind on my novel since I couldn’t get myself to write today through the brain fog/fatigue… but I did manage to write another paper in an hour, so that was nice.
Can’t wait to get back into super creative/productive and no appetite mode! Assuming I can get it back, that is. Fingers crossed.

I spent all day studying for my exam at 2, and had an intense case of the munchies. I kept getting incredibly drowsy (despite lots of caffeine) and then eating to wake myself up! I’m hoping this was just a one time thing and that my body now feels all nice and refueled so it will let me stop eating like a maniac… also hoping my stress levels will go down soon, though I do have 2 more papers to write and another midterm next week.
Also, I’m STILL sore from lifting 2 days ago–my body just does not want to recover! And it’s not just typical DOMS, but rather joint soreness (complete with cracking shoulders) that feels like a bad idea to lift with. Looking forward to getting back to the gym tomorrow, though.
Ate like a typical college student for once: takeout at my computer! (Though still too way healthy for your average college student)

It was cram day for a midterm tomorrow (which I am SET on getting 100% on again.. I’m must get 100% in the class!) and 2 papers to work on, one of which is due tomorrow. I managed to finish the latter in 45 minutes at night, but I was still pretty stressed all day! I kept getting random stress-induced food cravings, but didn’t act on it… though I felt weirdly hungry only 3 hours after breakfast. I felt like a bottomless pit!
Then, dinner came around and I decided to get a whole foods burrito because they’re healthy (quinoa, kale, black beans, roasted veggies, salsa, guac, whole wheat tortilla) and it would save me time.. plus I haven’t had one in awhile. I usually eat the whole thing, but for some reason, I started feeling painfully full after half!
But at this point, I was only at 1000 calories consumed (600 net), and I had resolved to eat more to fuel me up for my exam tomorrow. So, I had to wait a few hours and go into healthy-snack mode: protein banana-pomegranate nicecream, plus dates in cashew butter! I’ve never, ever had to MAKE myself eat at night to reach my calorie goal before… usually night is the time of uncontrollable binging. I like this way much better.

I was studying at a cafe between classes (not my favorite one, but it’s conveniently located), and I didn’t bring my own lunch, so I wanted to get a bagel sandwich there since it’s full of veggies and I can estimate the calories pretty well. But they keep running out of bagels around lunchtime, and I didn’t want to get back into my habit of skipping lunch, so I got the only other vegan thing… a panini. Probably dripping in oil 😦
Gotta get back to bringing my own meals everywhere!
Also, going off daylight savings time messes with my gym schedule a bit since I like to go around 6, and now the sun sets before then so I feel a bit unsafe on these sketchy streets… ah well.

Managed to wake up early (thanks in part to daylight savings ending) and get to a cafe to do some work in the morning, then right after I came home and ate lunch, I started feeling nauseous and had bad stomach cramps again… but worse than yesterday. And it lasted longer. I guess my mushroom polenta probably went bad during the potluck–this is why I never make or eat leftovers. 😦
Because of it, I couldn’t go to the gym–I’m going crazy!
